Wow, this is one of the most beautiful Spidey covers of the era. Mark Beachum was really hitting on all cylinders back in those days, and it was always a thrill to see his art on a Spidey title or story. As I recall, even the colors on this cover were extraordinarily attractive. Props as well to former Montrealer Geoff Isherwood on the inking job which was very complimentary to the pencils. Congrats on another great piece for your collection, Gus.

By the way Gus, as the owner of this piece you should really try to track down Charles Vess and ask him if he also did anything on this piece or if he was supposed to, and if so, what exactly?

Awesome cover. Interesting how many covers of the black suit era were essentially just pin-ups of Spidey--I guess the black suit was so cinematic that the editors decided they didn't need much else to grab eye-balls.

I'm really happy to see you getting around to posting this cover and the interior artwork! This is my biggest selling regret of my collecting career; but it is much, much less painful knowing I sold it to you, and you were able to complete an issue, cover and all!
