Description

This is the published piece of art to the incredible First Graphic Novel that started it all,
Jim Starlin's The Death of Captain Marvel. The original pen and ink and marker art was copied onto a large board which was then hand colored by Artist extraordinaire Steve Oliff.
This page features Mar-Vell, Elysius and Mentor where Marv tells Elysius that he is dying of Cancer.
Eloquently structured and poignant, this page has been a favorite of mine for years, since it was published in 1982.
I recently received a package in the mail from my good friend Jim and opened it up to find and be Totally Blown Away by this Beauty!!!! Jim sent it as a belated birthday gift. I truly cannot express how much this means to me and how gorgeous it is in person. Jim, you are The Best and I am forever grateful!!!
