Description

Simpsons production art after Season 12 is almost non-existent. That is when they switched to doing computer animation. However guest couch gag animator Bill Plympton still does the drawings on paper. (They are then scanned and composited by computer, and in some cases colored there as well.) This is a pencil sketch for his most recent couch gag from March, 2017 (he has done more guests couch gags than anyone.). The one that aired with Homer poking out his eye was the idea of Matt Groening. The second version has Homer taking his pencil and drawing the living room from the first scene so that the whole thing loops.
