DescriptionFunny story...3 years ago at ECCC in Seattle I asked Kenneth to do an Elektra piece for me. He wasn't able to get to it and said he would try to work on it when he got back home and would be in touch. A couple of weeks later I got a message with a pic of this beauty. We talked about shipping but eventually fell out of contact and I had assumed the opportunity was lost and the piece likely sold out of his portfolio at another show. A few days ago he posted it again on his social media and I reached out asking about it. Less than a week later and here it is. Funny how things work out...so excited that it eventually made it's way to me!Social/Sharing |

That's about absolutely BEAUTIFUL Electra piece! Sometimes a piece just finds it's place into your collection- and you've got a great piece here. Congratulations!

Firstly, incredible artwork. Secondly, what a story! Imagine if you had seen someone else post this! So glad it worked out for you.

This is brilliant. I know that word gets thrown around a lot, but I mean it is brilliant to me.
It does not look like a typical Rocafort piece. Elektra's face is unlike many of Rocafort's other female visages. There is a calm and serenity to Elektra's expression, which is really cool considering she is an assassin always ready for the kill. Her slender form is that of a super model's, which I think disguises her killer instinct again in a cool, subtle fashion. And I think the lines of her body help accentuate the overall classiness of the art along. My favorite part of this is her hair line. It's perfect. There's something about it in the context of the rest of Rocafort's line choices which provide me with the thought that an artist from the Italian Renaissance drew this centuries ago as if for a comic book that somehow came out back then.
This is truly great and I thank you for sharing it here with us.
