DescriptionA great homage pin up of Blade of the Immortal/Mugen no Junin by Jason Pearson.I just finished reading Hiroaki Samura’s masterpiece and this is my way of paying homage to it. This is Makie Otono-Tachibana of the Itto Ryu, unarguably the most skilled and deadly fighter in the serie. I really like that Jason choose to portray her during a calm moment as opposed to a fighting one which would have been the most obvious choice. He perfectly captured the melancholy and resignation that characterize her personality. Published in Dark Horse Blade of the Immortal 89 with digitally added backgrounds. I don’t know if the omnibuses reprint those pinups commissioned by DH but they should. 2018 update: Someone reminded Jason about this piece on his FB page. Here is what he had to say: "Wow! I forgot about that piece from Blade of the Immortal. I forgot it because I didn’t like it. Maybe because my drawing of that series didn’t match the love for it.
