Description

Great page by the amazing Steve Rude from the 2001 three issue series Spider-Man: Lifeline (Issue #2, Page 9). Rude's artwork draws on inspiration from the classic artists of the 1960s and much of what was cool about Kirby/Romita Sr. can be seen in this piece. Steve Rude is among the very best of his generation!

On a side note, I had a chance to buy the painted cover by Rude from Issue #3 (Spidey vs. The Lizard)and for some reason didn't pull the trigger. Well, I've regretted that for years, so when I got a chance to buy an interior page from this series I immediately pulled the trigger!

Wow-this is some truly epic work by the Dude! I like this series a lot. I love everything about this page-all the clock debris, Spidey's hands, that coattail in the last panel...but really, panel 4 is it for me! Great page!

Just re-read that mini-series Romita run-Lizard, Silvermane + Co 1960s "flashback"/sequel - really nice action example by the Dude from this fun-run !
