Description

This piece holds the record for longest wait and most effort required. At Dallas Comicon 2002 I was thrilled the Mr. Dorman agreed to my sketch request for only $100. However he wasn't finished by the show's end and promised to mail it in a couple of weeks. I persisted by email for months, then by Facebook message for a few more years. He always acknowledged the transaction but just never got around to delivering. Having tried everything but legal action, in May 2016 on a whim I reached out to ABC's consumer advocate "The Fixer". Thanks to the efforts of Stephanie Zimmerman's team the piece arrived within a month with a refund from the artist...slightly over ten years since the convention.
