DescriptionApparently I have a thing for last pages of American Flagg! issues, and this one, the conclusion of the first arc, has been seared into my brain since I first read it.I'd been looking for it for years, and when Jim Warden brought it to light I couldn't resist asking about it. I might have even used the word "grail" when doing so! After a lot of enjoyable back-and-forth (Jim's as great to talk to about comic art—and other things—as he is respected as a dealer and collector) we came up with a trade that worked for both of us. It was tough to let go of the art I sent his way to shake this loose, but on balance this page, from a story that I still enjoy more than 30 years after it first came out? I'm happy. So thanks to Jim for being willing to work out a trade. And if you haven't read Flagg!, go do it…and sorry about the spoiler. Social/Sharing |
