DescriptionFrench artist Claire Wendling came to Seattle and Emerald City Comic Con thanks to Bobby Chiu and Schoolism, only her third US appearance since her days working at Warner Brothers on Quest for Camelot and The Iron Giant. My brother's Stuart Ng Books published her art book Rainbook which made its debut at the event. Claire lead a Schoolism workshop and spent most of her days in Artist Alley where fans and fellow artists sought her out. Claire brought a number of beautiful pieces for sale and I selected this piece with a large lion and a crowd of cute mice. With Aesop's Fables propped up, one mouse seems to be telling the story to the others.
