Description

The opening sequence of Darwyn Cooke�s Batman Spirit is one of my pet favorites among modern Spirit pastiches. Cooke wrote and pencilled the story. Then J. Bone inked the art on a separate page, featured here.
While the inspectors Dolan and Gordon have a nice chat, The Sprit is trying to escape his attackers. The "Pier Sixteen" in the background will morph into a classic eisnerish SPIRIT splash a couple of pages further on.
