Description

When someone commissions me to draw a character like #Katana from #MortalKombat , I never know if they want the typical sexy pose or a more #badass pose, but I went with my gut and chose an action type pose because at the time, I was drawing a lot of pin ups and wanted to change it up. Im happy I did, this is a very diff pose than I normally do, and she's all mine, I dare you to Google it and find an identical pose. I drew the figure a long time ago and has a lot of the curves I used to do and am currently trying to bring back into my work, my women have flattened out a bit of the last few yrs and a lot of you seem to agree. Her hips are very voluptuous but doesnt seem to effect the feel of her being able to #KickAss.

I dont enjoy symmetry work at all, and drawing the fans and arms were a pain, and no, I didnt photo copy one side and flip it over to light box it, its done all free hand with no grid. I feel grids have a high change of things looking more stiff, but thats just me, most artist would disagree.

I want to thank Jerry for his undying patience on this piece, he has been waiting yrs for this and not once did he ever lose his cool and I appreciate your patience and understanding Jerry, I can not express enough what it means to me. Full disclosure: in the past I accepted $$ up front because thats what a lot of artist did and I was kinda new to it and I regret ever doing that and will NEVER ever do it again, I no longer accept $ until the scan has been sent to you. I didnt seem to care how long you waited because I new in the back of my mind that you would all get them eventually, but no one likes to wait for product they've paid for, and for this Im truly sorry, I have a few left to still finish and I use every single free moment I have to work on them, and I give free extra detail to help make up for the pain of having to deal with me. Again, I have done more past commissions this yr than the last 7 yrs combined because I feel absolutely terrible for how long some of you have waited.
