This grail is a cover by the one and only "Big" John Buscema of one of his greatest Subby covers that he created: Sub-Mariner #6 for Marvel, in the 1968 Series. Say Whaaat?!?! Yes, Subby #6 , This was penciled and inked by "Big" John Buscema and the cover recreation was published in Roy Thomas’ Barbarous Comic Fanzine Alter Ego #15 June 2002, a salute to John Buscema. It was published on page #5 of the fanzine. His recreations are rare, I have not seen another Sub-Mariner #6 recreations by "Jovial" John Buscema for this cover which makes this even more special, this is the only cover recreation that I have seen done by John of Sub-mariner #6 and what makes this the rarest piece of recreation art is that it was published, "Say Whaat?!?!" yes, you heard right published in Alter Ego #15, yeah!!!#Sub-Mariner #6 #John Buscema #Prince Namor The Submariner #Subby #"Big" John Buscema #Alter Ego #15 #"Jovial" John Buscema #Roy Thomas Barbarous Comic Fanzine Alter Ego Social/Sharing |

Fantastic!!! Big John did a great job on this. I think this is the only time he recreated this cover. Congrats!!!!

Sadly only the first 8 Subby issues were drawn by Big John and his Tiger Shark was especially mean ! Great piece !
