DescriptionDracula and Blade team up to fight Dr. Sun on this superb Tomb of Dracula #42 cover by Colan and Palmer. Only a handful of TOD covers with Blade— and none more dramatic— so this definitely ‘spiked’ my excitement!Social/Sharing |

As a big fan of Conan comics, I've very familiar with the "fall into the pit laced with spears/swords/knives/spikes" trap, and I love it. The camera shooting the scene from the bottom of the trap makes the shot incredibly dramatic. An excellent piece, Dino!

A Colan cover that "cuts" to the heart of what we all love from the run - seeing both Drac and Blade! And here, teaming up?! I venture to say that probably doesn't happen very often. Big congrats on a classic cover!

Awesome cover! I still remember the feeling of reading this storyline and while I liked Colan's work, I didn't full appreciate his mastery of shadow and form until I was much older.

Love Gene Colan's work! TOD was such an iconic Bronze age comic!

A incomparable get! Colan - Dracula (and Blade just for good measure!) Wonderful perspective, takes me back to the days when I was mesmerized by every issue "The Dean" put out.
