Description

A nice Avengers page by Coipel & Lanning from the Red Zone arc written by Geoff Johns before he was snatched by DC to become the creative powerhouse he is nowadays.

On this page, we get a very king like Black Panther revealing that Wakanda has had a cure for a very aggressive disease for a long time and did not share it with the rest of the world. When challenged, T�Challa then questions Stark�s fake altruistic motives and follows on a snap on the US� international politics.

I found Johns� take on BP to be perfectly in character when he wrote him. In fact, it feels like this page and the big reveal of this arc could have been written by Priest himself.

I love Coipel and BP so this arc was a match made in heaven for me and this page, if quiet, offers nice shots of King Panther. Coipel�s Iron Man is not too shabby either.

In retrospect, it feels like this page is paving the way to BP slapping Stark in the face during the Avengers vs X-Men crossover (a guilty pleasure of a moment for me I�ll admit, whose original art you can also find in this very gallery). BP vs IM, the prequel!

Coipel doing BP?! Yes, please! 3 great shots here and having Iron Man’s a nice bonus. Great add considering you’ve got the slap page, too! Congrats, man!
