Savage Sword of Conan was one of my favourite magazines growing up, loving the covers as much as the stories and interiors, and in particular the work of Earl Norem. Always had my eye out for a cover, and this was a particularly striking piece, with bold colours, dramatic perspective and composition, and has a strong Harryhausen vibe to it. Much bigger too than I had realised! Just LOVE that claw.

Apologies to the underbidder, only $17 and much less than a bid increment, just stupid timing in the last second snagged me this piece.

Just awesome. I want to get a Norem painting some day and my hope is that it will be as cool as this. Superb addition to a stunning gallery!
