DescriptionMy very first OA! In starting my collection, I resolved to only collect art from my favourite creators and titles. John Byrne tops my list and it is fitting that my first OA is Byrne Art.This is an excellent action sequence of an attractively drawn Donna Troy (Original Wonder Girl) which I like. I had thought this was Diana until I re-read the comic book Title: Wonder Woman Vol 2 Story: Part 1 of 4 - "Hell hath No Fury…!" Issue: 123 Page: 16 Published: 7/1997 (DC) Characters: Donna Troy (Wonder Girl) Signed: John Byrne Dimensions: Comic Art Board 11"x17" I've admired John Byrne's work growing up in the early 80s when I started collecting comics as a young boy. He's one of the few whom I consider an all-rounder, proficient in writing, pencil, inks and lettering. He is one of my, if not my, favourite comic book artist. His work on Alpha flight Uncanny X-men, Fantastic Four and Superman (starting with the Man of Steel reboot in 1986) remain among my favourite comic books which I still re-read today. Despite being a long-time comic book collector, I've only just started collecting OA in Oct 2018 through the guidance of seasoned collectors in Singapore and my first OA is a Wonder Woman page drawn by......John Byrne! I look forward to adding more Byrne works to my collection. Bought from eBay off Mr Byrne's art rep Jim Warden. Excellent communications and such a joy to deal with! Social/Sharing |
