DescriptionBrian Michael Bendis is one of my very favorite comic book writers, and his run on New Avengers is a big reason why. Over the course of his run, he collaborated with many of my favorite artists to tell these great stories. I recently began a new collecting goal: to acquire a New Avengers page from each amazing artist to work on this series. (I WILL NEED YOUR HELP TO COMPLETE MY GOAL!) For these reasons and more, I am proud to add this page to my collection. Check out all the awesome characters in action! The Hood, his accountant, Madam Masque, The Wizard and The Wrecking Crew are all punk'd by Luke Cage, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, The Sentry and The Black Widow. In the beginning of my art collecting career, I was aesthetically negatively-biased toward collecting pencil-only pages. I regarded these pages as less artistically relevant, and also less permanent than inked pages. Currently, I retain only a portion of this bias; Leinil Francis Yu is one of a select group of artists that changed my attitude with their pencil prowess. That's a great plan, best of luck with it. I completely agree that Bendis' New Avengers run is one of the very best modern comics epics.

Beauty. Always nice to collect a theme rather than a bunch of randoms. Puts more meaning into your collection.

FANTASTIC goal - best of luck with it! (I've been thinking of doing something along those exact lines myself! :) ) What a lovely page; Mr. Yu's prowess with a pencil is not to be trifled with, and I would imagine (as good as the scan is) that seeing this in person would reveal a whole 'nother level of detail and texture. Fantastic pick up! Thank you for sharing!
