Descriptionthe puppet as drawn on a card About 8 by 10 inches - preliminary art used to pitch a Santa claus punch out puppet to Standard Oil which at that point still had the Red Crown brand - from the files of Advertising Ingenuities - a premium firm that operated out of Chicago for a bout 10 years after WW2 - Fred Voges was one of the partners and the main designer inventor of the premiums- Wally Weist was his artist partner- this is qouache paint and ink on illustration boardThe separate figure is About 8 inches tall - preliminary prototype art used to pitch a Santa Claus punch out puppet Fred Voges was one of the partners and the main designer inventor of the premiums (I obtained the art from his estate)- Wally Wiest was his artist partner- this is qouache paint and ink on illustration board. The puppets arms and mouth actually move as it is designed to be a working prototype that can be shown to clients but it is all original painted art- This version Has Santa with a red crown gas hat Social/Sharing |
