Description

Angela cuts her way through the Badoon in these beautifully rendered, highly-detailed Kevin Maguire drawings... but the high point has to be the slow motion / freeze-frame phonetic phraseology of the Badoon commander along the top and bottom tiers.

Uber-impressive Badoon facial musculature from the always delightful Kevin Maguire.

"And of course, being me, I just had to draw in all the individual scales myself, by hand..." he told me at Emerald City Comic Con this past Spring.

Lots of cool spaceship bridge machinery and laser pistols throughout, and panel 6 is completely, totally rad... :)

So much to pore over with this one...some meticulous lines as well as some top notch storytelling, due in large part to Maguire's skills at illustrating expressions throughout a sequence, as you say! A sweet example for sure - congrats!
