Description

So, this drawing carries a lot of meaning that has nothing to do with the book series. I prearranged this commission of Hisao (as his twin Jun) for pick up at Boston Comic Con in 2013. An explosion in Texas created real hardship for Eisma's family -- and a lot of other people -- forcing him to cancel his con appearance. Then, the convention itself was cancelled due to the Boston Marathon bombing. What a tragic weekend. Eisma himself was such a class act, and, in the midst of everything that was going on for him, he mailed this piece to me. Gratitude.
