I had a short list of sketches I wanted this year at SDCC, with Artgerm and Art Adams at the top of that list. But since I already have a few Adams pieces, the color Artgerm sketch was the top priority going in. Luckily I got a piece from Arthur on Preview Night, and then I made it into Artgerm's line early on the first day (Thursday) of SDCC the next morning and was so excited to finally make the list. It took him all week to get the sketch done, but he promised it would be done by end of show on Sunday, and true to his word when I showed up on my way out, he handed me this. I was awestruck. My jaw may have literally dropped open, and several guys in line there also complimented it profusely. The "Zealot Project" I have been working on the past few years has really impressed me, and this is now a new favorite. (the "project" is to get any artist with Wildstorm credentials, as well as other artists who I just think would have a great take on her, draw a Zealot at a show and she is my most common sketch theme) So this was my grail-goal for this con and happily I was able to make it happen.
