DescriptionGene Day's run on Master of Kung Fu is truly memorable. Among the lights and shadows of Doug Moench's romantic spy thrillers, Gene managed to carve in some considerable graphic achievements that made you stop and gasp in wonder.I distinctly remember opening that issue for the first time and spending a few minutes on this very splash page. Nothing had prepared me for this, not even the front cover (honest, folks, the cover to MoKF 114 does not rank among my favorites...). After a while, I managed to turn the page and get into the story. But this was a splash page that would always stick in my mind... So, after quite a while, here it is! My only complaint ? The masthead and the footer ! Too many useless lines of text that leave less space for the art. But, even then, it does not distract me for long... Yes, I know: Gene Day is still sorely missed today... Social/Sharing |

Gorgeous title splash, from the layout to the illustration to the inks! Really must be a sight in person. Congrats!

Beautiful and truly eye-catching page, the mix of symbolic elements and art-nouveau-esque design make it very unique!

Thanks Davide! I think this is a good indication of where Gene Day was heading to and how he was progressing by leaps and bounds!
