Description

Liam was drawing for the Hero Initiative at Rose City Comic Con 2019. Half the money went to HI and half to Liam. I couldn't resist getting his take on a humorous character so I had him add to this sketchbook.

For those that don't recognize the character, it's the original Red Tornado, Ma Hunkle's crime fighting alter ego. Ma debuted in the Scribbly stories written and drawn by Sheldon Mayer. She is arguably a founding member of the JSA - see the Additional Images taken from All Star Comics #3 (pages 4 and 31).

Liam's Ma is a made of sterner stuff than Mayer's, but I think she turned out remarkably well.
