Description6x7.5. My research has turned up the artist's full name, Emmy Ferand, but no biographical info. The eight or nine examples of her card art that I've found on the internet were done for a greeting card company named Fravessi Lamont, which began in the 1920's, founded by a woman named Essie Govett, who later partnered with another woman named Jean Lamont. The company lasted on its own until the late 1990's, and is currently a subdivision of another company. That's all I know for now. Update: Emmy Ferand lived from 1894-1981,resided in Europe at the end of her life, and illustrated a Golden Books of Bible stories circa 1943.Social/Sharing |
