DescriptionTHE first piece I ever saw by Simone, ever. I was away from this hobby for years and years. One night, I accidentally clicked on the CAF site link in my old bookmarks and immediately minimized it. Then I noticed a thumbnail, that's right a thumbnail as it minimized and freaked the hell out, wondering 'WHAT WAS THAT!'. I went right back and it was gone, which began my search for this image, finding it hours later and discovering that I had missed the ENTIRE career of Simone Bianchi. I was floored, still am, always will be. THIS is the page, bought 2 years later at auction. To describe it seem's to cheapen it, the loving embrace of Death as Thanos begins his balancing of the Universe...at home. In more ways than one. Love takes many forms and this one moves me to my core.Social/Sharing |

Sincere congrats on this pick up! An outstanding piece of art, a key moment from the series and Thanos's history, AND personally meaningful to you! A trifecta that's hard to beat in this hobby!

WONDERFUL! Sincere congratulations on this outstanding pick up... and what a piece! I completely believe that a thumbnail of this image would cause one to search for hours on the internet for its source, and kindle a passion for the artist that created it... A terrific origin story if there ever was one. :)
It's easy to see why this would have had such an effect; all the Bianchi magic is focussed here; the ink washes and striking layout, the penmanship and inking finesse, the cross-hatching in the bottom left corner and multiple fine straight "shade lines", and oh my God, the red... Bone chilling. Gorgeous. Congrats again on scoring THE first piece!

Wait....I MISSED this one? Man I'm skippin'. Lol Okay...So THIS was/is where it all began??? I'm not surprised. This image demands to hold you hostage with the attention to style, detail and significance to our fav Mad Titan. This series will always be a fave bcz everything was meant to be including and particularly Bianchi's vision and artistry. I couldn't imagine anyone else bringing this legend to terrifying fruition quite like the maestro and what an honor it is you've shared the importance of this beauty. I never tire of reading the tales of the slices of art (and dare I say true folklore?) that brought us here. Congrats, my friend!
