DescriptionMerry Christmas and a Happy New Year, folks!!!!"YOU ARE ALL ON THE NAUGHTY LIST!" A christmas-related Joker cover is something special and rare. Did my reseach as always, and found this one. I wasn't very impressed at first sight with the published colored cover. Though I reached out to Alice. As I got the scans, I changed my mind very quickly and pulled the trigger on this one. Informations to the cover... "DC requested the cover from Jim, and he was provided with a list of characters from the Legion of Doom, with the Joker being the focus. Jim was asked to include the holiday theme, along with the year 2020 somewhere on the cover. Once his initial sketch was approved, Jim penciled and inked the cover. He added Harley Quinn and Brainiac during the penciling stage, because he saw that there was space for them both." Back in 2005 Jim Cheung was part of Quesada's "young guns" at Marvel. Now I know exactly why! His fine lines, great scale, and wonderful inks are amazing. I didn't find any white-out on the cover. Not every artist is good in inking his own pencils, but Jim does it precisely. He is an fantastic artist! I like the clean and not completly packed background. Instead of a bunch of skyscrapers, he put all the villains in, like Sinestro, the Batman Who Laughs, Harley, Cheetah, Brainiac, Gorilla Grodd, Reverse-Flash, Bane and Black Manta. And of course - the Joker!!! Placed in the middle with great smile and insane eyes, breaking through the paper! Wonderful! Jim drew some art for the "Year of the Villain #1" run, too. Check it out! I will definitely check Jim's work regularly, for more fantastic art. In DC's Year of the Villain, this is a great one shot with so many badasses. Thanks Alice and Jim. Social/Sharing |

That is definitely a cover full of NAUGHTY LIST characters. And what a fantastic group of villains it is! Owning a wonderful cover like this makes every day a 'Merry Christmas.' Congrats!

Awesome! The bad buys ringing in the New Year with guess who leading them! Clearly a Cheung cover with those meticulous lines and it's awesome you've got so many of his baddie renditions in this one image! Congrats!
