Description

Probably has been in the collection for 15+ Years. I was in Pre-Press for about 5 years and made printing plates, 4 Color Proofs, Separations, and Color Keys. I love finding stuff like this because it is what I did for a living for 5 years. Original from '64. Full Color Cover Proof and then the progression through each color Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow. Love the process. Having done this work...I can't imagine how hard these were to line up with no "Bullet" marks at the top / bottom / left / and right. Fabulous Gene Colan cover.

I love the process too. My best friend lived in the print shop in high school. I've always been sorry I didn't get into it. I thought that one day I'd be the guy drawing the things he was printing. He never made a living as a printer, and I never made a living as a comic book artist. Oh well, this is still a great piece of comic book printing history to own!
