Description

A great commission of Man-Thing by Stephane Roux which he drew for me during the 2017 edition of Facts.

Despite his well-known inclination to draw beautiful women characters, I thought that his brushy inks and textures would be perfect for the swampy character and was I right!

Stephane obviously had fun with it and even asked me if I could touch it up at his hotel on the evening of the first day of the festival. That�s never a request I will ignore.

The frog and snake were kind of my request as I asked him if he could include some animals within the piece.

I love his rendition of the character with his European sensibility.

Always fun to see Stephane and chat with him and it had been some time since we had seen each other (when I invited him as a guest during the festival I co-organized in Brussel).

Nice character choice. You're right - definitely an opportunity for Roux to show out when it comes to textural work, and it really did turn out great. Also really like the walking, kind of lumbering, pose. Congrats!
