Description

Afua Richardson drew the Black Panther character Ayo of Wakanda's Dora Milaje at the East Coast Comic Con in New Jersey for the Hero Initiative. I had the chance to fill an empty lobby display case this month and chose this piece to highlight with a couple of the Black Panther graphic novels from our Alameda County Library collection. Libraries have become leaders in the widening audiences for comics as described by this Heidi MacDonald Publishers Weekly article.
