DescriptionA fantastic sketch by Yoshiharu SATŌ. This one was done for my boy.It features Totoro, a lil’ Totoro (drawn at Mr Sato’s discression) and Jiji from Kiki’s delivery’s service (done at my request as my boy loves both Totoro and cats). Mr Sato was Character Designer, Animation Director and Production Designer on Totoro as well as lead animator on Kiki. So this is basically the next best thing to a Miyazaki sketch and it could even be argued that it is better than a Miyazaki sketch considering how Totoro is basically Mr Sato’s movie as much (if not more?) than Miyazaki san's. It won’t raise many eyes on this site as this is not a Kirby Bronze age cover but this is a major addition to my collection and an instant personal favorite. Colored pencils on shikishi board.
