Description"Another whom I did love? Aye, there was... once! But that was many years ago... "-- Sub-Mariner Sub-Mariner is one of my favorite characters. John Buscema was a master and one of the best artists whom graced the pages of Namor. One of the best that the industry has ever had. I was looking through my art to see which artists I hadn't posted yet. I can't believe I've never posted any of my John Buscema pages before now. I feel like an idiot. I think that Joe Jusko might agree for not posting any yet. Well, never too late? It's the heavyweight bout for the championship as the Savage Sub-Mariner clashes with the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing! Synopsis for "In the Rage of Battle!" Namor and Diane Arliss nurse Lady Dorma back to health. Namor tells of another woman he loved, Betty Dean, whom he met decades ago and had convinced him to fight against the Nazis in WW2. Meanwhile, the Thing is hired to deliver Destiny's Helmet of Power to Washington. Namor intercepts him because he's concerned that its power is too much for anyone to handle. Their battle rages on until an older Betty Dean appeals to Namor to end the carnage. Namor defeats the Thing and leaves to dispose of the helmet. Social/Sharing |

Wow... The word "treasure" doesn't quite do it justice, does it? ;)
BEAUTIFUL page; I remember seeing this book for the first time at a comic book convenition when I was about 9 yeas old and bought it right there, on the spot (I think they were asking the princely sum of 1.50 for it)! Still one of my very favorites...
THANK YOU for not only posting a Buscema page from your collection, but for posting THIS masterpiece! :)

Classic!!!! Love this issue with him fighting the Thing. The bottom panel is another burned into my brain as a kid. The Thing on his kiddy-car hitting Sub-Mariner. Congrats!!!
