Wow! I can't believe how lucky I got! I remember seeing this on the stands when I was a youngster, and it was a $1.50! ARGH! Talk about doing whatever it took to earn extra money to buy this!

Artists John Byrne and Al Milgrom were channeling their inner Steve Ditko for this magical homage cover! They have almost flawlessly captured the mystic feel that the Master of the Mystic Artwork infused into this franchise from its birth.

This was my only shots at it! Byrne did the four covers for this series, but he never did a Doctor Strange series, or even a solo-story... and he rarely drew the character other than in cameos or group shots. Along with the Sorcerer Supreme himself, the cover features Clea, the Ancient One, Dormammu, and Baron Mordo!

Those Doctor Strange Classics Starring Doctor Strange by John Byrne and Allen Migrom - were fabulous - each and every one of them - and this one is one of the better ones to my eyes!!
