DescriptionThis came together yesterday in a deal with Marshall Steinman - just a beautiful Flash page featuring the Pied Piper, executed incredibly well by the team of Carmine Infantino and Joe Giella!Synopsis for "The Pied Piper's Double Doom" The Pied Piper is on the loose once more and has stolen the Star of India, a prized jewel located in Tower City during the city's tri-centennial. In order to do so, he spotted Ralph Dibny -- aka the Elongated Man -- in the crowd witnessing the tri-centennial parade and used his flute to put the Elongated Man under his control and manipulated the hero into using his stretching powers to steal the priceless jewel for him. With no memory of his involvement in the robbery, the next day Ralph decides to try and put his detective skills to the test and try and find the culprit for the theft. While in Central City, Iris West calls Barry Allen and asks him not to be late for their double date with the Dibnys later that day. With time to spare, Barry decides to change into the Flash and race over to Tower City and try to find clues that might help him solve the theft as well. After spying a single footprint the Flash is spotted by the Pied Piper. The Piper uses his flute to put the Flash under his control and orders him to use his super-speed to rob the Tower City Bank unseen by the naked eye and drop it off at the Piper's hideout. The Piper then sends the Flash back to the location of the first robbery with no memory of the crime he has committed. There the Flash deduces that the only person who could have stolen the jewels is his friend and ally the Elongated Man. Flash catches up with the Elongated Man at the Tower City Bank and the two realize that they both have been duped by some unknown criminal into committing both crimes. The due then decide to go back to Ralph's motel room and plan to trip up whoever has been manipulating them. There Ralph coats their feet with a special infra red paint so that they can retrace their steps back to wherever they went if they are once more put under criminal control and the Flash drinks a glass of Gingold solution to be temporarily endowed with stretching powers as an ace in the hole. Sure enough, the two heroes experience a loss in time and deduce that they have once more been manipulated by a criminal. Tracing the infrared footprints back to the crooks base they learn it's the Flash's old foe the Pied Piper. The Piper keeps the two heroes at bay with his special double horn, however the Flash catches the Piper off guard by smashing his pipe with his temporary stretching ability. The two heroes then work together to capture the Piper and turn him over to the authorities. After, the Flash changes back into his civilian identity of Barry Allen and arrives at place where he is supposed to meet Iris and the Dibnys late and gets chewed out by Iris for being late.
