Description

This is the final recreation I'm posting today in memory of Frank McLaughlin's passing, whose career spanned decades. And final of today with the most significant Silver Age Comic of our time that ushered in a new age of super-heroes. I have a lot of art with Frank's inks, but thought it best to show some of his recreations as he just passed away. Spencer Beck, who repped Frank, reached out to me that Frank could use some money and asked if I could give Frank some commission work. How could I say no, as Frank inked some of my favorite artists and gave me so much joy over the years. So I commissioned Frank to create a string of recreations and focused on The Flash. Showcase #4 after Carmine Infantino and Joe Kubert expertly executed by Frank!

I didn't know of Frank McLaughlin's passing until I read your description of the art. Sad to hear of it. All of your Flash cover recreations by Frank McLaughlin turned out great, and are a testament to the special bond that comic fans have with artists. I hope you enjoy them for many years to come.
