DescriptionA 1970s promotion for Doubleday's Science Fiction Book Club was graced with this magnificent other-worldly masterpiece from the most collectible Fantasy/SF artist of them all, Frank Frazetta. This fully rendered painting has it all -- a mighty barbarian warrior, a huge prehistoric monster, a winged warrior flying upward, spear in hand, and an exotic alien landscape, complete with futuristic city, flying saucers, and extra moons looming large in the hazy sky. Frazetta's published fantasy paintings from this peak time period are virtually non-existent on the market these days, and this classic image was also reproduced on page 108 in Testament: the Life and Art of Frank Frazetta, edited by Arnie and Cathy Fenner.Social/Sharing |
