Description

A marvelous page of Conan in action climbing a tower by Sal Buscema with beautiful inks and Zipatone by Tony DeZuniga.

Conan the Barbarian scales a castle wall in the story titled "Legions of the Dead" from one of the few fill-in stories Sal Buscema worked on during his brother John's long run on The Savage Sword of Conan. Starting primarily as an inker, Sal became one of the most prolific artists at Marvel. Rendered in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board.

Really some great storytelling here starting with the vertical splash of Conan scaling the wall! So nice. And I love how in panel 3 he's shown exhaling, clearly a bit winded from a tough task, to say the least :) Congrats!
