DescriptionA nice page from the rare Jerome Opena from Hickman’s opening arc on his already classic Avengers run.Opena really exploded on that run and soared to creator owned work since. This page is part of the origin of the trio of new characters Hickman introduced to the Marvel universe. A very nice shot of Ex Nihilo which was my incentive in purchasing the page as well as Aleph and Abyss. I find that the somewhat asymmetric character design of Ex Nihilo is brilliant and works really well. The other two characters are pretty generic though. In order to establish their treat level, Hickman had them simply take down Thor. Opena’s pure pencils are a delight and so precise it’s difficult to picture (sorry for the blurry pic). Lastly, thanks to Kirk for yet another steal-buy (especially considering Opena’s current asking prices) and for holding on it for years. Social/Sharing |

Love Opena's art. I have no difficuly believing that seeing this beauty in reality must be quite a feast for the eyes. So delicately and masterfully rendered and evocative. Congratulations!!!
