DescriptionThis DPS comes from an unpublished Dr Stange/Moebius Graphic Novel, of which Marshall drew about 14 pages before the project was cancelled. To be written by Roy Thomas, it featured characters from Moebius’ works (and even Moebius himself), The story was hinted at in Dr Strange #9 (1989).According to Jean-Marc Loccifer, “in 1989, Thomas and Lofficier came up with the idea of a one-shot Doctor Strange special which would be a crossover between Doctor Strange and then successful line of Moebius graphic novels then published by Marvel/Epic. A free license/permission was successfully negotiated between Marvel and Moebius' company, and Thomas plotted a story, which was then entrusted to artist Marshall Rogers who penciled half-a-dozen pages. Then Rogers abruptly left to pursue another assignment and the project was sadly abandoned” Roy Thomas conveyed the following additional information to me via Email. “The Dr. Strange/Moebius project was originally going to be a series of four comics/graphic novels, each, as I recall, of 40 or so pages--so they could be collected into a 150-or-so-page book later.” This story of this unpublished story is planned to be told in an upcoming book (delayed until 2021, due to COVID-19), called “Lost Marvel.” Social/Sharing |

Wonderful page, love the last panel with Doctor Stange meditating. Would have been a wonderful graphic novel...what a shame it never materialized!
