Approx. 13.5x21.25" artboard has pencil original art by Don Heck (over Jack Kirby layouts) that has been inked by Mickey Demeo. Art is for page 8 of "Strange Tales" #145, published by Marvel June 1966. Page features six panels from "Lo! The Eggs Shall Hatch!" Nick Fury story, which saw Fury engage in a fistfight w/Druid, quickly realizing his toughness was too much, causing Fury to rip up his shirt to craft makeshift boxing gloves. Fury appears in every panel, Druid in three (w/an additional panel featuring his arm). Dum-Dum Dugan arrives in second to last panel to save Fury, who refuses the help. Art mirrors Jack Kirby's cover for this issue. Top margin has stamped title and handwritten issue/page numbers. Top/bottom margins have extensive handwritten pencil captions. Taped continuation strip at lower right. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp and Marvel copyright stamp. Some lt. scattered dust soiling to margins, but art remains clean and Exc.
