I think every Spider-Man fan has an opinion on 'One More Day' and what it means for the Spider-Man mythos. When I saw this page on an international auction site, I just had to go for it – and in the end, I lucked out. To have a page out of the controversial finale is a dream come true.

But. At the time, I wasn't fond of blue line pencils, so I had to know for sure. “Is this the only original art for this page?”. So I did some digging...

I went through the "Marvel Art of Joe Quesada", which had the most info; Joe's general way of work as mentioned in interviews & "Cup O' Joe"; interviews on "One More Day" specifically, as well as the sketch book for the storyline.

It seems that at some point for #544, Joe was running late with his pencils for Danny & he switched over completely to digital work for #545. There are some rough prelims & digital art that got printed for the sketch book, but this is the original page used for publication.

Featured are Peter Parker & Mary Jane struggling with the deal they got offered by Mephisto. Some typical Quesada faces, with great & moody inks by Miki. This is the stuff that keeps me coming back.
