Description

At Roubaix 2019, one of the many guests was 2000AD artist Tom Foster. While I wasn't very familiar with his work, a friend had ordered a Luke Skywalker by him. He was inspired by a Dark Empire Luke Skywalker that had arrived a few weeks earlier.

Tom had been teasing my friend with his commission with just a tiny snippet of the end result. You could only see like one inch of the full piece, but that was enough for me to go with a less inspired commission request. "Tom, can you do one for me, too?". When you see the two side-by-side, they're obviously similar, yet different.

This commission is 9x12 and features Dark Empire Luke, with several TIE Fighters & a Star Destroyer behind him. I love how it's clear he's here for business, yet still looks heroic.
