DescriptionBeautiful page by one of the Italian Disney Masters, Luciano Bottaro, for one of his most famous (and probably my favorite) stories, Paperin De Paperac (a parody on E. Rostand’s “Cyrano De Bergerac”). The story has been published at least 33 times in 11 countries (for the first time in Italy in Topolino #600 in 1967), most importantly to me in the German Lustige Taschenbuch No.18 (1971) as “Ritter Donald de Donaldac”...I loved the story in my youth and as the middle panel served as inspiration for the cover of the issue, this page has burned itself into my memory, so I’m forever grateful to Alex for passing this onto me... :-))Unfortunately most of Bottaro’s Disney artwork from his most famous stories has been destroyed, making this one of the most important surviving pages...
