Description

Lily Renee was one of the first female artists of the Golden Age of comics. Among other things, she was an escapee from Nazi-occupied Austria on a Kindertransport ship, lived in England and then made her way to her parents who also escapted and were in the USA.

I love the way Renee uses darks here & in her work in general. She has an almost high contrast look to her pen & ink work
