Description

Riley Rossmo's artwork for the intercompany crossover of DC and Dynamite from 2017 had to appease fans of both legendary characters and he definitely brought excitement and energy for a new generation of readers. Rossmo is not doing an homage to old characters like past artists, but putting a modern edge to them with controlled linework and powerfully composed imagery meant for visual impact. Characters have weight and dimension in this intense action cover featuring Batman and The Shadow versus The Penguin, Killer Croc, Magpie, The Mad Hatter, Man-Bat, The Ventriloquist, Scarface, and The Joker! If you've read the series, you would find great examples of how Rossmo likes to put in as much work in every page as if it was a cover like this.

Great piece! As a stand alone piece of art, in a way detached from full polished and colored printed page, I've begun to really like blue line. Gives the piece contrast and extra life.
