Description

Milo Manara is one of the most important Italian comic artist. He is well known for erotic stories, but he is a talent in making elegant illustration. This pin up is lovely not only in the use of the playing card character of the Queen of Hearts, but also in the tridimensional effect given. The typical Manara woman face completes the illustration.

I particularly love the eyes of the queen, watching at you, and the arm almost outside the paper.

The Queen of Hearts makes for a magnificent illustration that was used as the cover of the fourth "Biennale del Gioco di Verona". Watercolor on Bristol board with an image area of 36x48cm. In Excellent condition.
