Frank Frazetta's art has been pulling a lot of interest in recent years, with multiple record prices achieved - which is not a surprise as he's often considered the greatest artist ever to work in comics. But here is something to really howl about! Creepy was not even a year old when this was published, and it came at one of Frazetta's artistic high-points. The combination of Frank Frazetta's covers and Warren Publishing's interest in revitalizing the Horror genre worked incredibly well together. And this bold image is one of the artist's true classics, fondly remembered by generations of fans from both the printed cover and its usage as a perennially popular poster. Frazetta's original Warren covers rarely come to market, and they're highly sought after when they do, both because the artist put a mind-blowing amount of detail into this body of work (in comparison to some of his other projects from the era), and because of the firm crossover appeal as comic covers.
