Description

Eisner's landmark "A Contract With God" follows numerous characters in a NYC tenement in the 1930s. In the fourth chapter, numerous social classes mingle while on summer vacation in the Catskill Mountains. This page shows some of the train ride out of the city. The final version of the page was similar in spirit but had slightly different staging and dialogue.
