DescriptionCan there be anything rarer than a George Wilson Painting from the 1960's that isn't washed out? They are so beautiful, people can't resist showing them off. And then out go the greens, the blues, etc. Look at the Koraks on Heritage and here . The few from the 1960s are often washed out/faded to some extent. It breaks my heart.This one, thank God, still looks like Wilson painted it yesterday!! I couldn't believe what may be one of the most beautiful of the Korak pieces came up for auction on Heritage. I saw it here earlier this year, but funds were short. It was indeed my lucky day to snag this at a giveaway price! In less than 30 seconds the auction was over. Too good to be true. Thank you so much Zaddick. I am so thankful you took such good care of it. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Never to see sunlight again, except for small looks. Picked up 8 more beauties this year, that are equally stunning, but haven't had the time to post yet. Will do so shortly. It's been a good year, all in all. 4 have never, to my knowledge, been seen anywhere else, since they left Wilson's hands in the 1960s. Social/Sharing |
