DescriptionBack in the late 80's to early 90's my goal was to get every Spider-Man appearance in every comic. I remember seeing the Defenders #61 cover, thinking this was one of the best Spider-Man crossover covers I'd ever seen! When I eventually sold my Spider-Man comic book collection, I kept only a handful of them, the Defenders #61 being one of them. I'm honored & so happy to have this piece of art in my budding Spider-Man art collection.This cover features the Incredible Hulk [Bruce Banner] Hellcat [Patsy Walker], Valkyrie, Nighthawk [Kyle Richmond]] & guest star Spider-Man [Peter Parker] as they face off against the crazy villain Lunatik. Being an old timer, I prefer the core roster of my favorite super team. But any Defenders cover is a winner for me. Especially when my favorite character guest stars on it. Congrats on this nice Bronze Age score.

This is an incredible cover! I love how it's a fully rendered scene, using every bit of the space. And one small detail made me chuckle--Hannigan mimicking Chan's signature. Great score! Congrats

Reminiscent of Strange Tales Annual 2 and very early sixties The Avengers issue with Spider-Man. A real A+ get!

Hannigan produced some great covers in the mid '70s. Excellent example!

Great inks by Chan. Hannigan is not given proper credit for his many innovative Marvel and DC cover designs.
#61 also has an excellent Hannigan Hellcat splash, but then again I'm a bit biased about that page 1 :)

That Cat and the Spider from before the Black Cat! Fantastic image of Hellcat caught in Spidey's web. Hannigan and Chan make a dynamite combo here.
