Description

Illustration by Virgil Finlay for the novelette "How the Heroes Die" by Larry Niven. It was published in Galaxy Science Fiction - October 1966. Formerly in the collection of my best friend and collector extraordinaire, the late Jerry Weist. So nice to pick up something that used to be in his collection!

Your Virgil Finlay collection is a grand slam. I have always wanted a Finlay. This black and white has such great facial expression and line work. The line work isincredible. This must have taken hours and hours. One of best for intensity and execution.
